Topic: Chewing The Fat
Prepare: Collect your thoughts & questions about the scheduled topic. Since it takes valuable time to type during the CHAT, write your message in a separate window to copy and paste into the actual CHAT box.
Stay Tuned In: Once you enter the CHAT, be sure to leave the window open. If you must go to another web page while the Chat is in progress, open another browser window.
Exiting: You may say good night to notify everyone you are leaving or just exit by closing the window.
Messages: Don’t type in all capitals. If you have a question that does not relate to the current dialog, then key “???” and the administrator will recognize you and give you a turn when the current conversation wraps up.
If you want to send part of a long message, type “…” before pressing the Enter key to alert everyone you are still typing! Everyone will wait for you to finish your thought. This avoids multiple conversations.
